Mevlana Exchange Program

Mevlana Exchange Program is a program that enables exchange of students and lecturers between universities providing education at domestic and universities providing education abroad. With the Regulation published in the Official New paper dated 23 August 2011 and numbered 28034, the exchange of students and lecturers was opened between universities abroad and universities in our country. Unlike other exchange programs, the mobility within the exchange program involves universities all over the world without any geographical region distinction. Students who want to participate in the exchange program should attend at least one maximum of two semesters. Faculty members can use the program to teach in universities around the World for a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 3 months. Similarly, students and instructors from all regions of the world may come to universities in Turkey.

The basic conditions for being a student of Mevlana Exchange Program can be gathered under several headings:

- The student should be an associate, undergraduate, graduate or doctorate student registered in the university programs given formal education,

- The overall academic grade point average of associate and undergraduate students is at least 2.5 (two and a half) out of 4 (four),

- The overall academic grade point average of master and doctorate students is at least 3 (three) out of 4 (four).

- 50% language score + 50% Grade Point Average

 

Students studying in the preparatory and first year of associate and undergraduate programs and graduate and doctorate students who are in the preparatory and scientific preparation periods cannot benefit from this program for the first semester they start their primary education.

Lecturer and Students benefiting from the Mevlana Exchange Program within the Department of ESOGU Biology: Our faculty member Assoc. Dr. Figen ÇALIŞKAN went to Mexico to teach under the Mevlana Program at the Biotechnology Institute of the National Autonomous University of Mexico between 24.01.2015 - 15.02.2015.

Sarajeevo from Sarajevo University within the scope of the program; Students named Edin BUSATLIJA and Amra MAHMUTBEGOVIC enrolled in our department in 2015 and studied for a semester.
